Last week, the FBI raided the office of Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen. Now, this has already come back to bite White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Conservative Tribune reported that a new poll has revealed that American voters are growing increasingly suspicious of the motivations behind the “Russia collusion” investigation. A poll of 1,000 voters found that less than half of those surveyed think Mueller’s investigation is an “honest attempt to determine wrongdoing.”

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters still believe Mueller’s investigation is an honest attempt to determine criminal wrongdoing, but that’s down from 52% last October,” Rasmussen reported. “Forty percent (40%) now consider Mueller’s probe a partisan witch hunt, an eight-point increase from 32% in the earlier survey. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.”

This means that last week’s raid on Cohen backfired badly, as it shows the American people have lost all faith in Mueller. On top of that, Trump’s approval rating in the Rasmussen poll hit 50 percent on Friday.

“… (A)fter record lows in the polls for most of his first year in office, Trump saw significant improvement by December and for the entirety of 2018 has been polling around where President Obama polled at the same time during his presidency,” Daily Wire reported.

This came days after Trump defended Cohen and slammed officials for the raid. Trump slammed White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller for allowing the raid to take place.

“So they find no collusion, and then they go from there and they say, ‘Well, let’s keep going,’” Trump stated. “And they raid an office of a personal attorney early in the morning, and I think it’s a disgrace.”

When asked if he would fire Mueller, Trump replied, “We’ll see what happens,” and, “Many people have said you should fire him.”
